Step 1: Access Zillow to Look for a House You Wish
First, of course, you have to access Zillow.com. To look for a house you are interested in, you can use the search bar located at the top of the Zillow homepage or click “Buy” to show the list of houses for sale. Then, enter the address, location, or neighborhood of a house you want to view.
Step 2: Choose a House You’re Interested in from the Listing
After Zillow shows the list of houses for sale based on your search, you can click on a house you’re interested in to see more details.
Step 3: See the Photos of a House
Once you click on it, Zillow will display more details about the house with a number of photos. Usually, the sellers will include photos of the interior and exterior of the house. To see more photos, you need to scroll through the photos to get a sense of the size, layout, and condition of the house.
Step 4: Check for Video Tours
To see the inside of a house you’re interested in, you may also check for video tours. Some home sellers may include video tours of the house in the listing to make it easier for buyers to see the details of the house, both interior and exterior, in the listing. You can see any available video tours of a house by looking for a video icon or link on the listing page.
Step 5: Use the Virtual Tour Feature
If the photos of a house are incomplete and you want to see the inside of the house, you can take advantage of the Zillow virtual tour feature. As we’ve mentioned earlier, it allows you to take a 3D tour of a house you’re interested in.
To use Zillow’s virtual tour, you can click on the “Take a Tour” link that can be found on the description of a house or on the list of house photos. After clicking it, the pop-up window will appear and allow you to choose the option of a house tour, either in person or via video chat.
Make sure to choose video chat if you want to digitally choose a home tour. After that, you need to confirm when the schedule of the virtual tour will be held. Then, select a preferred time and click on the “Request this time” button.
On the following page, you may need to enter your name, phone number, and email, as well as compose a message to tell the seller that you’re really interested in a house and want to request a house tour. Last, click “Request Tour.”
After submitting a house tour request, you may need to wait for confirmation from the seller, who will be notified via email.
Step 6: Contact the Listing Agent
